Splitting means to separate a clip into two parts. To split a selected clip, drag the playhead to the frame where you want to make the split and choose “split video clip at
playhead” from the edit menu.
How to split a flip video clip
One clip can be split into two clips. An unused part of a clip may be kept on the shelf for later use.
•Click on the clip on the shelf, clip viewer or timeline.
•On the scrubber bar move the playhead to the frame for the desired split.
•Choose split clip at playhead (apple T) in the edit menu.
•The clip will then be split in two creating two separate clips just as if you had recorded and imported them that way.
